INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONSThe originality of some of the technical solutions has made the Benelli product a point of reference in the motorcycle context of large cylinder bikes.An important innovation has been implemented in the engine: as on all of the versions of the 2005 year TNT models, engine function can be modified by simply pressing a lighted button on the dash support. 
The engine control unit can be switched between
free power and controlled power for better control
of the motorcycle in poor traction conditions.
This also guarantees a decrease in fuel consumption
of 10-20% depending on driving style and on
the road.
The free power configuration makes it possible to
fully enjoy the torque features and motor power,
while the controlled power configuration makes
it possible to enjoy using the bike easily in
the city, even on asphalt with poor traction,
either alone or with a passenger, without stress.
An exhaust system composed of 42 mm stainless steel
primary manifolds joined by a compensator improves
engine performance and enhances the sounds.
The "Tre in Uno" (Three-in-one) system
converges in a 60 mm pipe which is choked by
a butterfly valve for a smoother, higher performance
engine.
The Tornado is the only standard motorcycle with
the radiator positioned under the saddle which
receives air from two dynamic pipes fed by
two vertical feed intakes under the directional
signals. This solution not only eliminates
the accumulation of heat at the centre of
the vehicle, but also significantly reduces
the front end of the bike.
